🚀 New Feature: Bring Your Own Data (BYOD) Integration
We’re excited to introduce Bring Your Own Data (BYOD) — a new integration option on the ADaaS platform that enables Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) to manually upload financial data without requiring ERP or API connections. See Bring Your Own Dataunder Guides.
🧩 Why This Matters
With BYOD, SMBs can now upload financial statements manually — unlocking access to insights like credit scores, financial ratios, and forecasts without needing to integrate their accounting software.
💡 What’s Included
- Manual Upload Support: Accepts Excel (.xlsx), CSV (.csv), PDF (.pdf), Word (.docx), and JSON (.json) formats.
- Flexible Upload Limits: Up to 10 files per upload, each no larger than 10 MB.
- Supported Statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Reporting Frequencies: Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly.
- Date Range Requirement: Must be included in the file content (not just the filename).
🔧 How It Works
- Enable BYOD in your Dashboard under Integrations > Accounting.
- Generate a Sites link for your business customer.
- Customer uploads financial files via a guided online flow.
- View sync status in Webhook Logs and access normalized insights.
See Set up BYOD for details.
API Updates
ZOHO Books - Creating an Invoice will now set the initial Status to "Open"
Invoices created via the POST API for Zoho Books will now automatically be assigned an initial status of "Open", which triggers an immediate email notification to the customer—eliminating the need for manual intervention previously required by customers.
To ensure smooth delivery, contact information must be included in the invoice payload, as it determines where the notification is sent.
This enhancement brings ADaaS behavior in line with other ASPs, ensuring consistent customer communication upon invoice creation.
A new FAQ "Creating an invoice in Zoho Books" has been added to support this update: See Zoho Books FAQ
Oracle Netsuite - New FAQ added when Creating an Invoice or Journal Entry
To support smoother invoice and journal entry creation in Oracle NetSuite, we’ve added a new FAQ to our integration documentation:
✅ Prerequisites for Invoice and Journal Entry Creation in Oracle NetSuite
When creating a new invoice or journal entry, ensure the following business/account setting is configured to avoid permission errors related to tranid:
In Oracle NetSuite, navigate to Setup → Company → Auto-Generated Numbers, and enable"Allow Override" for both "Invoice" and "Journal".
This setting allows for override of transaction IDs, which is essential for successful integration and data sync. You can find this FAQ here Oracle NetSuite FAQ
