Setup Bring Your Own Data
Enable Bring Your Own Data (BYOD)
Unlike most other accounting integrations, Bring Your Own Data (BYOD) does not require application credentials or direct ERP connections. Instead, it allows your business customers to securely upload financial files directly to Accounting Data as a Service™ (ADaaS).
- Open the Dashboard and log in.
- In the left sidebar navigation menu, go to Integrations > Accounting.
- Scroll down to the Bring Your Own Data (BYOD) integration and use the toggle to update the Bring Your Own Data (BYOD) integration from Disabled to Enabled.
Your Business Customers' Connection Flow
Once BYOD is enabled, follow these steps to onboard your business customers:
- Add a new Business and generate a Sites link. See Add a new business.
- Share the Sites link with your business customer.
They’ll be guided through an online flow to connect and upload supported financial files to ADaaS. See Bring Your Own Data Connect Flow - After upload and processing (may take some time) view the sync status in Webhook logs.
- In the left sidebar navigation menu, go to Developers > Webhook Logs.
- View the customer’s reports and summaries. See View Business Data
